Thomas Jones Primary School is a remarkable place, but like so many schools, it faces real financial pressure. Funding increases in recent years have simply not kept pace with rising costs, creating a growing gap between what the school needs and what it receives. Fundraising has never been more important. The Patron Scheme helps to bridge that gap.
The Thomas Jones Patron Scheme brings together parents, parents of former pupils, and local businesses who want to make a real difference. By becoming a Patron, you join a community of supporters who have each donated £500 or more, either as a one-off gift or annually, to directly fund school activities and enrichment for every child at Thomas Jones.
Being a Patron isn't just about giving; it's about being part of the school's story. Patrons receive:

Following on from last year's donation, local business Lords Building Merchant continue to support Thomas Jones with monetary donations as well as with small scale projects in the grounds which they undertake, providing labour for free and at times, materials too.
Lords is a local, friendly, family-led business located on Malton Road, a stone's throw from Thomas Jones. The showroom is no average builders merchant. The two level building showcases all that the team at Lords can support you with for your home, whether large or small scale. It is a delight. We highly recommend a visit.
May we take this opportunity to thank Peter and the entire team at Lords for their generous donations, time and ongoing support. We are incredibly grateful.
Local literary agency Rogers, Coleridge and White have not only donated monies for books for two years now, but also given us three wonderful reading volunteers every week without fail for an entire year. These volunteers read with children in Years One and Two, and their dedication has been essential to the children's development. We thank the agency greatly; this continued support is invaluable to us.

Belstone Management Services have recently undertaken a community and volunteering project within the school by designing, building and installing green screens made of ivy to the rear adjacent to the KS1 playground. The screens, with bespoke planters, have been a desire of ours for a while, adding a much needed layer of privacy for the playground as well as improving the aesthetics of the area and assisting with air quality. Many thanks to a loyal parent who drove this project and secured monies so that it was fully funded by Belstone.
Thank you to all the volunteers from Belstone who worked on this project come rain or shine. We are so thankful for the loyalty and support.
